Learn how to tailor a traditional hand-stitched lampshade with professional lampshade maker Polly Kettley of FollyandGlee. You will learn all the traditional techniques necessary to complete a lampshade to take home at the end of the day. You will learn, how to bind your lampshade frame, how to make the template pattern for a perfect fit cover, how to stitch your cover to the frame and explore options for trimming and finishing your lampshade. You can select your fabric from a great selection at the barn or a vintage piece from Folly &Glee;’s collection of stunning original vintage barkcloths.
There will be everything you need to complete a second shade at home which you can purchase on the day.
