Thermofax printing is very similar to screenpring but is easier to manage and you can create very fine detailed images onto fabric, paper and if you want your walls! You can use any medium in the same way as you can with a screenprint. The machine we use is based on the old 1950’s technology of photocopying. As there are no chemicals involved in the process it is a very safe and simple way to create amazing images. Using temporary resists we will create specific images and texture and layering for backgrounds. We will also learn to make Thermofax screens which is very similar to screenpring but is easier to manage and you can create very fine detailed images onto fabric, paper and if you want your walls! You can use any medium in the same way as you can with a screenprint. The machine we use is based on the old 1950’s technology of photocopying. As there are no chemicals involved in the process it is a very safe and simple way to create amazing images.
