Creating a classic lined winter coat which will last a life time is a major project. The course will run over three days, 1 week apart and there will be an initial consultation to discuss patterns. The first week you will make a calico toile and carry out fittings. You will need to choose your fabric , we are happy to give you advice if required. The reason for the fabric not being included in the cost of the workshop, as we would normally do, is that we think to make this commitment you will want to be very specific about the fabric you choose. You may want cashmere or wool or even fur! but it needs to be your choice. We will have a selection of fabric for you to choose at varying price levels or alternatively you are welcome to bring your own. There will also be a large choice of patterns for you to choose from, all selected so they can be completed in the three days but will require homework. Included in the cost is attendance at stitch cafe on 30th January, 3rd & 10th February for those who don't want to work alone or don't have the equipment at home.
